Week 10:Quiz

HW: Read toward IRP goal.

We all came in and sat in our seats. We then proceeded to write the agenda for the day. Stuart and Alexandra read their blog to the class. They chose me because I got skipped during the last time. I chose my cutie Lena to do it with me. Ms. Nakada then, went around to check binder reminders.

Ms. Nakada also checked if we did our summaries. Everyone was reading pretty quietly which is rare for this class. Aaron got sent to our class and, he sat in the front looking at his grades in utter sorrow. Dario walked passed the door mysteriously.

This is technically my sixth blog, but this class is still on their fourth so I guess I am too.Lena did her secret handshake with Aaron. We are going to start the quiz in five minutes. Evan meowed at Lena. ₍^. .^₎ Dario walked by again which is weird because he went the same direction.

The class was locking in but, then someone started whispering. I waved at Jason and he waved back. (SCORE) Then, we took out our Chromebooks to start taking the quiz on Schoology. There was a lot of chatter in the room when that was happening. Stuart was bullying Lea for doing the blog ,so I stood up for her because I'm the bigger person.

We quietly began taking the quiz. Dario came back from his adventurous walk. I finished my quiz, and got a 10/10. I'm kind of nervous to read this out loud since I'm new to this class. I used to be in first period. Lena got a 9/10 on the quiz. Isabella Dione walked past the door and, waved at me. There was a lot of whispering in the back. Ms. Nakada let us pack our stuff up. The bell rang, and we quietly waited for Ms. Nakada to dismiss us.

HW: Read toward your IRP Goal!

As I was waiting to get into class, I was standing outside and then some strange kid gave me chicken. While we were entering, we began to watch the take a minute. While I was writing down the agenda in my binder reminders, Briella and Noely were reading their blog. As they were reading their blog, I began to zone out and hadn't realized they picked me. I got up and sat down in the front. Then, from the corner of my eye I saw and heard Stuart ask if he could do the blog with me. I agreed, so I wouldn't have to write as much. :3

Sturt here. so  We were watching a TED talk, and I was excited to do the book project because I actually did itദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ so yea and ALEXANDRA said something which I didn't hear. She saw me type this and said, "That's funny." I am scared. 

While we were watching the video, STUART took the chromebook and wrote that, as I was looking at the screen. He went on a website for emojis so I'ma steal that. •ᴗ• In class, we began to watch the video, and once we were done we are gonna do our Book project presentations.

Now that we are about to begin our Gallery walk, I had to do some finishing touches to mine. I felt like I would do better but its not. I was working on my project in art.

Reader/writer's workshop 

HW: Read toward IRP goal, Last book project due 3/19

We started off class by taking a minute. Lucas and Kaiden read their blog and played their video. Lucas picked Sandra to do the blog at first, but then Zack just had to tell Lucas to pick me, so I ended up getting picked to do the blog. Ms. Nakada started to talk about the dual enrollment, and what the requirements were. Then, we moved on to the song, which was "Hair Down, Stand Up" by KCT. We listened to it and then talked about what the song is about, the tone, and our favorite lyric. We transitioned to reader's or writer's workshop. Some people started working on their book projects while others read. We were going to tattletale on someone who's name starts with a Z, but we realized it was unnecessary. We don't have anything else to write about, so that's it for our blog. 

Since Lucas was going to pick Sandra, we pick Sandra.

Week 10: Grammar Quote

HW: Read toward your IRP goal/ Final Book Project due 3/19.

We started off class with our take a minute and Malacutie 💋 and Solomommy ❤ reading their blog, they picked Kaiden to do the blog and I went up to do it with him. We were talking about our week 10 Grammar and Stuart did not have his notes. Our grammar is about commas and their rules and, we learned about three rules today, 1: items in a list, 2: before a conjunction in a compound sentence and, 3: after a introductory or transitional phrase. 

Ms. Nakada asked the class a question if we know who Rosa Parks is, and the class somehow transitioned to a discussion about Hellen Keller. We learned about what Rosa Parks did again & how it took a year of boycotting for Rosa Parks to get a seat in the front.  

Ms. Nakada then asked Zack what he wrote but, Zack has not written anything. It's Evans birthday today, and I'm really happy for him. We then talked about Rosa Parks quote.

The class discussed about the Golden Rule and some of its morals and a few other kids responded with what they wrote about a quote from Rosa Parks that mentions how other people treat us how we treat them and how we would treat others we would want to be treated.

Evan then hit me with his note book while we started to discuss the question about if it's challenging to follow the Golden Rule. Spirit shared out her answer on how it can be challenging and, I agree.

We then ended with readers workshop and then the bell rang.

Last book project due 3/19!

We started the day by writing the agenda down and moving on to the take a minute. The song of the week was "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton. The song was obviously about a 9 to 5 job. After that, Sturt was discussing with Ms. Nakada about the song. Your Tiktoks are tuff by the way. Nice dances moves👌👺.  When Ms. Nakada asked if everyone had written about their favorites lyrics Zack kept on yapping about having a favorite lyric. The theme of the song was mostly based on solidarity for people working a 9 to 5. We then moved on to independent reading. During reading time, someone's phone kept on going off. I think it was Sturt getting likes on his tik toks.👌After reading, Ms. Nakada told us to pack, and the bell rang. That is all we did today.

We entered the classroom and did our take a minute. It was very peaceful. Then, Ryan and Nylah did their blog, and Nylah had something in her eye. Then, I volunteered to do the blog, because it's fun. Evan's  dyed his hair very fire. 

I was doing my work, and when I turned for half a second, Malakai, doing a pencil fight, looked at me and made a funny face. Demetrius was eating a pen, and I think he thought it taste yummy. Ms. Nakada and Zack talked. ˚🐾˖°

Yo, I'm back! Malakai and Johnny were sword fighting with pencils again. We began to talk about Leonard D'caprio! He's a little bit... creepsters. Then Ms. Nakada said that seniors in high school.

will feel interested in us as freshmen. Sus. Then, we talked about Taylor Swift because we listened to her song "The Man." Soloman better be careful what he says this time. 😤

Ms. Nakada was talking about how misogonistic hating on Taylor Swift is because she is a girl. Then, we discussed the tone and said it was SUPER SUPER SUPER sarcastic. Evan was wondering if its about the song so me being the kind person I am I answered and said "YES"

We started talking about creepy men and how the world is sad ˙◠˙ Well, Solomon gave an opinion. We opened our notebooks, and worked on our Spring reading plan. Take it from here, Sturt. (Oh, and we are half siblings if you didn't know)

So, we started the reading plan and our goal  was 20 books.... I was only at 16 (•᷄- •᷅ ;) (•᷄- •᷅ ;) (•᷄- •᷅;)  Lena was somehow at 22 and that made me feel cool and Lena kept saying Ryusaki. Ummm after Evan and Zack read their blog we talked about equity in school and almost everyone said that girls and boys are equal then Ms. Nkada pointed out how the dress code talks about girls should be modest. Ryan sneezed LOUDLY luckily she covered her mouth cause everyone's getting sick. We then started to finish up our literature circle essays. While I was writing my essay on my Chromebook, Nylah proof read hers. We forgot about the blog and finished up our essays.

We started off class with a take a minute. Then, Joseph and Jackson read their blog.

We started off the day by walking in and doing the quiz we were meant to do Friday, but it couldn't due to our YMCA trip. After that, we started working on our essays. I had to work a bit harder, because I haven't done much of it. Ms. Nakada was walking around checking our essays to see if we can start typing them. Around this time, we had fifteen minutes, and we should be on our conclusions. Jackson and Malakai were throwing paper at each other. After that we were focused on our essays and when I turned around Stuart was staring at me. We had around five minutes left so that is it for the blog.
