Take a Minute
Blog / Corrections
Week 7 - G * Q * Q
School Trip ACE
Reader's / Writer's Workshop
HW: Finish Books by Monday 9/28.
We walked into Ms. Nakada's class, writing the agenda in our binder reminders. We did take a minute before doing the blog. Mark walked up to the front of the class, read his blog and afterwards, we corrected it. Ms. Nakada made us stand up and called peoples names and told them to sit down. I was one of the people who was still standing up, and Mark chose me.
We wrote down the Week 7 Grammar - Quote - Question in our English Notebooks. Ms. Nakada asked if we knew how roman numerals worked which most of the class did in-fact know. We learned more about compound & complex sentences, Ms. Nakada also taught us about Interrogative (?), Declarative (.), & exclamatory (!). STUART started talking about lunch and how he would bring "McDonald's¨ for lunch.
We moved on to the quote section, and Ms. Nakada asked who Frida Kahlo was and Aiden said she is a Mexican-Artist and Ms. Nakada told us about an accident that happened to Frida which was the reason why she was in a wheelchair. We were shown arts from Frida Kahlo and the most offsetting one in my opinion was the "Girl with Death Mask."
The class started to read School Trip 103-107 and they talked about the architecture & how the buses are like. We started to talk about idioms such as "Piece of cake" and "Killing two birds with one stone" and for some reason, Stuart started talking about a mouse and Zack started talking about geese with one stone. The entire class all said that Zack and Stuart couldn't be trusted with a rented scooter, and we started to guess who also was called out for not being trusted with a rented scooter in the other English periods.
Lucas called Stewart our for apparently flipping him off which had them both laughing. Zach started talking about a brown leaf being in someone's hair which was debunked by another person. We started to talk about a teacher (Mr. Mura) and how he was creepy. We packed up, the bell rang, and we got ready for lunch, and we left.
