NaPoWriMo Day 28

HW: Read and write a poem a day.

Green: Stuart

Blue: Bennett

We started off class with a clear mind and did our take a minute. Nuh uh, you were busy drawing. When Bennett and Asal did their wonderful blog, and they didn't choose anyone, so I stepped up and did the blog I forced Bennett to do the blog with me because, I didn't wanna do it with anyone else. I was drawing as Bennett was searching up stuff, and I was listening to what to do for the test, how to come in relaxed and to eat a good breakfast. Then, someone asked about cortisol and, we learned it was related to stress levels.  Zach asked if he had Low Coritsol. Just after that, we got an assignment.

Bennett wouldn't type much since he isn't nice, but we were then doing an assignment that Ms. Nakada passed out to everyone. It's good. I'm smart since, the assignment was pretty easy.ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ α΄— - ˵ ) ✧

You did not even do it yet and I did the blog last time.(¬_¬")

Then, after the assignment we wrote our poem and our prompt was unidentified. Then, Zack had some questions about the poem prompt. Then, we packed up and left.

HW: Read and Write a Poem a Day

Today's class started pretty nice after all of the pushing outside. I zoned out, then Asal asked if I did the fifth blog yet, and I said no. After that, we took the quiz, and Asal got a higher score than me, and yet she still was unhappy with it.

Okay Bennett, you don't have to say that. Anyway. While everyone finished their quizzes, I finished my thirtieth poem. Bennett was reading some of my poems while I wrote the blog.

After a little bit some pizza came in, and Asal and I wanted to eat some of it because of the smell. Then, we started reading our daily poem. After that we something happened that I am not going to put in the blog. After all of that we got done with that we started talking about the poem.

We found out that the captain in the poem is actually Abraham Lincoln, and the ship is the country. Lastly, we had some time to write poems. After that, we finished class, and packed up.

Now we choose ..............

NaPoWriMo submission

Hw: read and write a poem a day

I walked into class today and Demetrius and Kaiden read their blog, Demetrius looked at me while I was trying not to make eye contact, because I knew he would pick me due to the beef he has with me for no reason, by the way. Ms. Nakada did corrections to their blog. While Ms. Nakada was doing that, I got my stuff and came up to write the blog. I kinda like doing them, as I got into the blog we went right into listening to the song "Purple Rain" by Prince, after we listened to the song we transitioning into our lines our lines was  a poem  called "I'm Going Back to Minnesota where sadness makes sense" by Danez Smith. We started to write our poems, as Ms. Nakada started to check how many poems read and how many were written. We started to write our poems, so we could catch up on the days we probably forgot to write. When the timer went off, Lucas wanted to share his poem about one of our classmates. I also wanted to share one of my poems, but I got to scared thinking my poem would make my classmates think and also Ms. Nakada because my poem are kinda scary and questionable. After Lucas read his poem, Ms. Nakada started to talk to us about our NaPoWriMo submissions. We watched a  bit of a Get Lit poetry video and people started to get packed up and that was it for the day byeeeeee🩷

Week 14 Question

NaPoWriMo - Day 21

HW: Read and write a poem a day

I walked into the class, greeting Ms. Nakada and wrote the binder. George read his blog and chose me, so I went to go write the Blog. After I sat down, I wrote down what I missed yesterday, and then Demetrius came to help me with the blog.

Then, Kaiden passed my the Chromebook and told me to write, Ms. Nakada was discussing about the battle of Gettysburg. Shortly after, we started reading the poem called "Battlegrounds" by Xochiti-Julisa Bermejo.

Ms. Nakada moved onto the poem, and we discussed what the poet wrote, learning what a Chicana is which is a word for Mexican American Women. Ms. Nakada went over more about the poem and the true meanings of it.  We transitioned into another poem called- "Just As the Calendar Begins to Say Summer"- by Mary Oliver. Ms. Nakada read the poem and then asked if we can read it again. A few students read over it and we talked about what the poem is about.

Then, we transitioned over to writing our own poems and Ms. Nakada announced that she will check how many poems read and poems written.

After we wrote a poem, I was going to write one about how awesome this guy Micheal I met over the weekend was, but I decided not to. Anyway, we continued to write poems and Salami got taken outside. Lucas wrote a poem about Ryan and Zach started acting weird. We were then introduced to the NaPoWriMo submission. We packed up then we left.

OPEN HOUSE DISPLAY

HW: Read and write a poem a day!

Sandra - BURGUNDY

Alexandra - GREEN

I walked into class about two or three seconds late, like always. And like always, Jason decided to say "LATE."

I sat down, and then a couple minutes later, Johnny read his blog. Johnny was super quiet to read his blog, and I wondered why because Johnny's literally never quiet. Then, he chose Alexandra to do the blog, and she was refused, so then afterwards, Johnny picked me to do the blog and Ale was like "Okay now I wanna do it." πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ‘…πŸ‘…❤❤πŸ’‹πŸ’‹πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜™πŸ˜™πŸ˜šπŸ˜š

We sat down and Ale asked me if we could use my computer for the blog, and I said "sure"--forgetting that my computer is very messed up. My shift key only works if you like smack it really hard and my screen glitches in half sometimes, so I put a lot of effort into this blog.

Lucas said his favorite lyrics were duuii duuuii duuiii and then Jason had a huge grin and started talking about Seth in specific manners. Jason specifically always yells out Seth every time I'm around, and I feel very targeted but don't mind.

Anyways, when Johnny was reading his blog, he chose me, and I didn't wanna go because, would've been alone, and looked depressed, until he chose Sandra, so I was like okay, because I lobeee Sandra. I began to write down the agenda and then, we did the song, which was about how you should choose people wisely, like how you pick the good and delicious fruit.

Ms. Nakada, then asked Evan if he felt free, and he said no.  How Evan is by the way.

Evan low key said he doesn't feel free, but he's genuinely always doing something. For example, the staircase incident.

We read a poem, and began to discuss it. I really liked the poem, and I hope to read many more. Anyways, now we began to write our own poems, me and Sandra will make and read ours now.

                                                                Evans hair

Roses are red, Evans hair is blue,

you have free will and we do tooπŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ«°πŸ«°

Evan has no bills

His hair gives me chills

and he himself does too

Evan I'll buy you a hair mask

if you stay on task (no more staircase incidents)

you'll get rewarded with more than one mask.

Jason gets no mask.

OK now back to the blog.

Demetrius keeps tripping over literally nothing. What are we doing?

Then, while we were getting our portfolios back, I heard Lucas talking. I think he was talking about Seth's Arizona.. or something.

Anyways we choose Jason or Alex to do the blog.

NaPoWriMo: Day 9

hw: read and write a poem a day!

When we all got seated we filled out our binder reminders. After that, we did take a minute, and then Noely and Briella read their blog and picked me. During the take a minute, someone kept on making fart noise sin the back. When we were finished, Ms. Nakada put a video on the screen for this week's lines, and it was a poem written by Yrsa Daley-Ward. While we were discussing the poem, Zack asked if he could go to the nurses office, and when he went to Ms. Nakada for a note, someone threw all of his stuff on the floor. We then moved on to our NaPoWriMo and watched a poem being read called "Dinosaurs in the Hood". Zack and Solomon got kicked out and put up a major scene. We then had a debate with Evan about how he thinks that a white guy can direct a Black story and about Quentin Tarantino. Kill Bill is in Fortnite.

Really cool. This is Mr. Tarantino.

We the moved on to writing our poems, and that was it.

We started off class by taking a minute. Zack and Evan read their blog. Zack picked me, and then Evan picked Aiden. Zack got his way, and they both ended up picking me. We began listening to the song of the week, which was "Garden Song" by Phoebe Bridgers. After we listened to the song, we talked about what the song is about and things that were mentioned in the song like tidal waves, and skinheads. Then, we read the poem, "Before" by Ada Limon. We read another poem, "The Red Wheelbarrow" by William Carlos Williams. We also read the response poem, "Red" by Mary Ruefle, and suddenly everybody wanted to read it; I wonder why. Ms. Nakada told us to work on our poems, so we did. Lucas's poem got shot down, and Lena read her poem. Then, we packed up and left.

NaPoWriMo : Catch up!

Homework: Read and write a poem a day! °‧🫧⋆.ೃ࿔*:・

I walked into the classroom and saw that Ms. Nakada was giving people letters for their seats. I got put in one of the back seats, which I thought was nice because Asal and Kate sit right beside me. After the blog was read, Ms Nakada asked who hadn't done their fourth blog, and it was only Kate and I. We walked over to the front table, and I pulled out my computer. I wrote the grammar and quote of the week as I waited for Ms. Nakada to log into my computer. When Kate asked her to log in again, a poem by Amanda Gorman was playing in the background. Then, I got to typing. We read one more poem as a class before we started silently reading poems ourselves. ִֶָ. ..𓂃 ࣪ ִֶָπŸͺ½་༘࿐

I was working on the sketchbook Ms Wilson gave to me, when Val handed me the Chromebook. By then, we were working on our NaPoWriMo poems we may have forgotten to write over break. Ms. Nakada showed us a few poems prior to this, and after she gave us time to read and write poems, she showed us techniques and prompts so we don't get stuck finding an idea. I didn't have to do any, since I wrote them all during break, but I still jotted down ideas that came to my mind.

While it was Kate's turn to write the blog, I got to writing my poem. I had to catch up because I didn't have much time to do them over break. The part of the class while we were writing was pretty calm and quiet which was nice. .π–₯” ݁ ˖πŸ›Έ── .✦

Near the end of class, we all took turns sharing our poems. I wanted to share mine, but I was too anxious and I worried that mine would be too sensitive of a topic or didn't sound right to people's ears. Then, we started reading poems from our packet to get some progress on the "poems read" page for NaPoWriMo.

I chose not to read my poem because I hadn't finished it and it didn't make a lot of sense. So, I just listened to the poem currently playing. Then, we packed up to go to lunch!! ̇ ✩°˖πŸ’€ ⋆。
