Na No Prep

HW Na No Wri Mo Starts 11/1

When we first walked into class Ms. Nakada had a bag of candy and asked us to say trick or treat then she would give us a treat. Next, we did our take a minutes. Then, Zach and Jackson read their blog. They had asked the class to vote but Ms. Nakada just put our names into a wheel of names. The wheel of names then landed on me, and I had asked Nylah to do it with me. Zach kept apologizing for putting me in the blog. Then, he kept asking Lena if her grandma was ok. 

Ms. Nakada explains that we need to write to a buddy that will support us with writing a novel this month. Then Zack told us who he was gonna write to and read aloud his starting sentence. Ryan told me I was who she was writing to. Zack flipped Ryan off . Then, Zach started whispering to Jackson. Then, Ms. Nakada asked Solomon why he's obsessed with Ms. Flynn. Ms. Nakada had to explain that it's rude to interrupt a teacher when they're talking and then told Zach to step outside. Demetrius told me to turn around. Next, we turned to our notes. Then, Joseph accidentally took my chromebook. 

Next, we were waiting to start the test but too many people were talking. We had to all be quiet so we could start the test but it took a minute for everyone to be quiet. After I was done taking the quiz, we had time to work on our Fall Essay or prep for our Na No Wri Mo novel. When we turned to the side we seen, ZACH WAS AGGRESSIVELY BLOWING HIS NOSE and shaking is tongue at us. One of that last things we did was set our goal for how many words we are going to be writing for our novel.

Week 12: Lines

T.O. Fall Essay Intros

HW: Read a model novel: 20-30 minutes

I walked into class and sat down. Kate and Valentina read there blog. I told Kate to pick George for the blog, but she picked me instead. I went to the front and picked Zack to help me with the blog. Lucas started screaming and drawing on the table. We went to our notes and Nylah was talking across the room to Ryan. Zack told me he was better then me at stumble guys, but he sucks. Then we were talking about how emerson treats the kids that are wealthy and not wealthy. Lucas was chewing gum in class.

We went to our Outsiders notes and Aiden stole nylah's book. We picked our prompts for the fall essay. Aiden was cursing out Valentina. I looked outside and saw Auguuuuuust. It was really peaceful, I enjoyed working in quietness.

T.O. - Fall essay intros

By the time the bell had rung, I was already drawing in my notebook. I had expected that I was going to be picked out for the blog. I was confused and disappointed when I heard that Stuart was picked. Asal and Valentina were quick to correct Ms. Nakada. I put my books back inside of my backpack, and it was only when I sat down at the desk up front that I realized that the Chromebooks Ms. Nakada had mentioned were taken didn't have a kind of substitute.

While Ms. Nakada was trying to look for someone to offer up their laptop, George was mouthing something to me. I had assumed that he was saying something rude, so I waved him off. Then, I realized what he was saying. "Kate, who's your partner for the blog?" I got up quickly, and patted Valentina on the  back.

We both sat down, and she immediately started working on her book project. We were able to use her Chromebook for the blog, and Ms. Nakada tried setting it up so we could get started. It took around 10 minutes before we were fully logged in.

When I started writing, Lucas passed by and asked to be put in the blog. I shook my head no, but here he is anyway.

Week 12: Song

When Ms. Nakada was setting up the song, she came around to us to see if the page to add an account was loading. (We still hadn't gotten onto the blog page when the song started.)

Ms. Nakada started this part of the agenda by showing us the song for the week. I heard Zack call my name behind me, so I looked over to him. He was snitching to ME about Lucas calling him something rude because Ms. Nakada said that it was childish to "tattle-tale". I thought briefly about the notes we had to write, before getting back to writing the blog.

T.O. - Fall Essay Intros

I still haven't decided on what I want to do for my novel, and I'm quite torn between redoing a novel I made a few months ago, or making my own based on a comic I make with my friends. I looked up at the board, taking a mental note of what Ms. Nakada wanted for us to write down for our novel. I asked her if we had to present any part of our novel, and she said we'd have to show the cover and read the summary. 

Ms. Nakada used The Outsiders as an example of what we should use as a format for our model book or for the details on the model book. Then, she moved us to The Outsiders notes in our notebook. she read us a bit from the book, before instructing us to write down what happened in the scene.

I was stuck on what I should write next for the blog, but then Ms. Nakada told us to pack up. so I quit picking at my fingernails and added the last details and corrections.

Week 12: Grammar - Quote 

HW: Book Projects due tomorrow!!

We started the class by walking in, and going to our seats like the good kids we are. I was suffering in the back of the class, because Kate was gone, so it was very sad. Then, Ms. Nakada asked Asal and Bennett who they wanted to choose for the blog. I already knew what was coming, so I chose Asal to come up with me as well. 

We filled in our table of contents for three pages. Then, we started writing notes. While I was asking Bennett about something, a certain someone beside me just told me to shut up and swore at me for no reason. Kind of annoying, actually, but whatever. We go our essay prompts to staple in our notebooks. Honestly class was really peaceful. No one was really talking a lot so I could pay attention to Ms. Nakada's explanation about our Fall Essay Prompts. I take it back, it started getting worse and worse. Then, that same person beside me tossed a stapler at me. 

The bell rang after we finished our notes for NaNoWriMo.

We chose Kate if she is here, or George is she's not.

Week 11: Lines

The Outsiders . Book Projects

HW: Read 100 pages of a book by Monday

    When I walked into class today I already knew I getting picked, so I just waited until Asal and Aidan finished their blog. Ms. Nakada was already tried of saying stop, "Saying other peoples names." Solomon threw an Outsiders book at Bennett. Solomon did not let me give the book back. Solomon stole our glue like 3 times and gave it back later. We started reading a poem and Jackson and Lucas read it out loud too. Zack made a weird sound and was told to step outside the room but he did not. Stuart got lost in the room looking for his binder.

We started to take notes for our lines this week. This weeks lines was a short poem named "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost. We went to our Outsiders notes. Stuart said Pony vs. five. Nothing really happened because of the situation in the book. Stuart asked what if Pony died. Zack was distracting us. Ms. Nakada said we had a much better day.

    We walked into class and sat down. we watched the take a minute video and then Spirit read her blog. Lena was late so she missed the reading, it's alright though, because she only wrote one sentence. Spirit chose me because I told her to do it yesterday, and I chose Aidan to come up with me. After that, we made corrections to Spirit's blog. We started making our Creatobers. Stuart drew Shrek for his Creatober and Zack kept contradicting whether it was Fiona or Shrek and from which movie and Stuart finally said it was Shrek from the third movie. 

    We listened to the song of the week, which was "Fast Car" by Tracy Chapman. Solomon somehow flipped Stuart's chair, and spilled the materials while the song was playing. After the song ended, Ms. Nakada asked the class what the song was about and I said a love story that fell apart. Lena was listening to her headphones, and Ms. Nakada told her to take them off. Then, she asked Bernadette if she had any on either. Ms. Nakada asked what the Zack said he liked Stuart's Tiktok. Ms. Nakada asked if anyone wanted to share their favorite lyric and Stuart chose the most common one in the song. (I wonder why). Solomon dropped the materials on purpose; again. Bennett was staring at his thumb.

    We flipped to our outsiders notes and found out that we were three chapters behind. That part was... Unsurprising. Stuart was busy cleaning Solomon's mess and didn't get to do his notes for a bit. Solomon spilled the materials for the third time and the pencils fell on the floor.  George said the ending of the whole chapter on purpose, and Stuart got called out for not writing his notes. Zack cursed me out under his breath and we just kept going. That's all for today's blog!

The Outsiders

Hw: read a book (100) pages by Monday 

We started off by walking into class, and we sat down. After we sat down, I ask Joseph did he do the blog yesterday and he said yea, with Lucas. I asked Lucas if he could pick me for the blog since it was an early day, and plus, I don't mind doing it. They came in front of the class and read their blog. After they were finished they picked Johnny and Johnny asked Jason to do it with him, and I was hurt, so they picked me instead, plus I asked to do the blog.

When I was picked I asked Demetrius to do the blog with me, and he said no which was hurtful, but who cares. I also asked Kaiden, and he also said no, so I told them I'll be writing this in the blog and Lena called Evan a cutie, which was kinda normal to me, but was kinda weird because like he's Evan. I'm kinda scared of him, but he doesn't seem mean (sometimes). I ended up asking Lena to do the blog with me. She very sweet and said yes. We started to write the blog, and I heard Demetrius was talking to one of the students in our class and while he was doing that Zack told me to put something in the blog

Bennet and George were laughing at a smiling pumpkin with its tongue out. Ms. Nakada ask the class about our relationship with homework. Stuart said he doesn't like or do his homework. Then, Zack said something. I didn't hear because most of the time he doesn't answer are have a clue what's going on. Then, Zack turned around and called for Johnny for some reason. Then Lena said something and then solomon he told her to shut up. Then, Ms. Nakada asked Lena what she was doing, fixing her play list or coloring on her shoes and Lena showed her shoe because she was coloring. Zack  decided to say her shoe. Stuart read a little piece of the book to Ms. Nakada, Ms. Nakada asked Zack if he got the notes down. He said yes, but when she asked him a question he said, "I don't know," but it wasn't new to Ms. Nakada. Lena got up to talk to Bernadette and then Ms. Nakada asked Evan something which I didn't hear but I know he said yea. Zack was talking to Solomon. After that Ms.nakada asked Zack to write stuff down and to learn. They had a three minute debate about learning. Ms. Nakada seemed so unbothered by it and followed on with her day. Lena didn't do a lot of the blog, but its ok because she's always very sweet. Then, the bell rang.

BOOK PROJECT #2 Due 10/28

    We started off the day with reading Sandra's blog. At the end of her blog she took a vote to see who would be picked next, and she picked me. However, I wanted to have a partner so I told Joseph to come up with me. While getting adjusted, I saw Jackson make a face that looked like a fish, and Aiden was cursing everyone out under his breath. Solomon was showing me his wallpaper of one of Stuart's Tik Toks.  Then we wrote in our note books the grammar and quote for week eleven notes. After that, Solomon and Zack started teaming on Lucas. Ms. Nakada asked to see Zack's nonexistent notes, and Demetrius was laughing at him. Sandra was not doing her work and Zack was staring at me. Zack started saying that he's gonna tell the office on me, but I didn't do anything. 

We started taking notes for The Outsiders and Aiden kept cursing people out. After that Bernadette came into class and Zack seemed excited for some reason, after that we wrote notes on The Outsiders. Then, Zack flipped me off for no reason, and Solomon said another crazy thing! Zack started stomping this bug. That was it for today. YAY!

Homework-Student Led Conferences tonight! 5-7pm

Today, the class started off with me immediately getting yelled at for being late. I was late because I got in trouble with Ms. Shanley, she thought that I cheated on running day, so she held me back to tell me she was going to call my parents. I didn't cheat, but I can explain that to my mother later. Then, I sat down and DARIO (I call Johnny that) said, "Oh my gosh, Sandra! When did you get here? You just teleported here" in the sassiest voice imaginable. Afterwards, Jason started saying some things he most definitely should not be saying. 

Then, Zack presented his blog. I purposely gave him a strange look so that he wouldn't choose ME to do the blog, but look where that got me. Apparently, in Zack's brain he thinks that me looking at him sideways means, "Choose me." I meant the exact opposite. I tried to get Jason, Alex, Nylah, and Lucas to do it with me, but none of them decided to come up with me, so I had to do this all by myself. I hate presenting by myself because I have stage fright, so I really dreaded doing this.

Out of the blue, I heard Stuart yell out "Zack is it okay if I draw you with a kippah?" (I don't know how to spell kippah). Then, when Stuart and Solomon went up to show their drawing, I saw how they drew Zack. I think it was pretty much hyper-realism. It looked just like Zack. After the drawing, Joleigh came in and scared me so bad. She snuck up behind me unintentionally and stroked my back with her palm. It scared me because I didn't know who it was but then I saw it was her so it was a-okay. Then, Aaron came in and said hello to everyone. He's never in class, per usual. 

Everyone kept laughing and so Ms. Nakada got irritated. The way she handled it made me laugh. She handled it by giggling ever so slightly in a mocking manner which I thought was funny. After that happened, Solomon and Stuart kept throwing each other's papers down to the floor. I thought it was funny but they both seemed visibly irritated so I thought I should probably stop laughing. I then got bored and started trying to see if I could do an old hair video that I saw. Basically, there used to be a trend in 2020 where girls would try to knot the bottom of their hair to see if it would knot or not. If it knotted, their hair was considered damaged, and if it didn't knot it was considered healthy. I tried it not knowing I'd be humbled but it knotted sadly. 

Afterwards, Zack told me that I should put in the blog that Lucas whispered something in his ear. 

I looked at the time and saw that the time on the board was wrong, it said 12:24 and I swear it was not changing, I thought the time was genuinely just going by so ever slowly. I checked on the laptop, and it ended up being 12:42 so I decided to start wrapping this up. 

For the end of my blog, I want to do a vote. Since Jason, Alex, Lucas, and Nylah decided to not come up with me. I'm going to do a vote, I'm going to name their names and the class gets to decide who does the blog because one of them WILL do the blog with me. Raise your hands for who you want to do the blog and who ever has the most votes will do the blog. If it's a tie, I'll decide.

We started off class by watching a take a minute video, and everyone was quiet. Then, Katrina and Lena read their blog. Then, we went on to createtober, and it's was nice. Jackson was talking to Joseph a lot it. lowk ruined my day. Then, we went to our notes, Lena and Bernadette were texting each other. Jackson was selling snacks in class. Then, we glued a poem in our books and Jackson was jumping around. After that, Lena was talking about getting ghosted. lowk feel bad. We were talking about the tone of the poem and Bernadette was on her phone and Jason was also playing clash in the back of the class. Lucas called my name and cursed at me. He also dropped his water bottle. Nylah didn't understand some of the poem, so Ms. Nakada helped her. Demetrius air-balled in class. We moved on to a student led conferencing form. Lucas was talking, and it was really annoying. Demetrius was making weird noises, lowk. Jackson was shouting. Demetrius was hanging on the door. Zack started to work in class. I was trying to do my work but everyone was talking, but I still got my work done. The bell rang, and we left.

The Outsiders ch 3/4

We started off class by writing down our agenda in our binder reminders and correcting Stuart's blog. Stuart's blog was really long so It took a long time to correct. Then he picked us to do the blog.

We began to do our createobers and Zack was trying his best to draw like a blind little boy. Ms. Nakada began to play a Hawaiian song. I've never heard anything like it and I had a laughing attack because I imagined Zack singing it.

The song was about ancestors sad about modern changes. We later took notes and we listed our favorite lyrics and the tone of the song.

Solomon was being unintelligent and Bernadette was Bernadetting. Yay. Then we were told to pack up. That was our day.

The Outsiders: Ch 1/2

HW

Class started as normal, except we got to change seats, but I stayed where I was because I got the letter I and I always get I. Also, I got to sit next to someone I don't like that much so I'm mad, but other than that we would start class as where we would listen to a take a minute and then read the blog Zack and Solomon's blog was pretty good, but not the spelling. Since they weren't here everyone who hasn't done the blog yet raised their hands. Then, Ms. Nakada said whoever wants to do the blog keep your hand up. I was the only one who had my hand up, so I had to do the blog. I didn't complain. I love doing the blog. 

We were getting our Createober and as Katarina passed me mine. She said she didn't like it so I got a little bit mad because I was amazing at drawing. I drew myself, and I think its pretty accurate, so I thought it was good. As everyone was drawing people were talking and Ms. Nakada told everyone we can have a chill day so yea. Valentina got her phone pouched, because she had it out, and I was super happy because one time Valentina said I had my phone out, and I didn't, but Ms. Nakada still took my phone, so Ms. Nakada is an Opp, because Valentina was like super far away so like super weird. Even Ms. Nakada forgot to do the timer, so everyone got more time to draw which was good because its amazing to chill. Class was boring most of the time. I had nothing to write about, so I got pretty sad because normally something crazy happens. I made an awesome self sketch, but everyone said it didn't look like me but I think it did. Then Lucas cursed at me and I said "I'ma put that in the blog" so I did. Then Johnny said something failuce which means something to do with the private area. Then, Lucas called my name like two times to distract me. Then Mrs. Nakada started talking about a new writing strategy and it was called step up and it reminded me of basketball. Then, we talked about C.E.R which made me confused because normally Ms. Nakada talked about A.C.E. Then, Ms. Nakada talked to Joseph about The Dodgers so I was confused because it had nothing to do with the topic of school. Then, we talked about our favorite things in Mr. Kamm's which was a chill class and one student said playing clash I laughed. And I pick Katerina to do the blog next because nobody can disrespect my drawing. Also, I'm super happy nobody is nicknaming me anymore. And that was it Toodles. -Stuart

HW: Finish The Outsiders book by Monday 

We started the day off by writing the agenda down. After that, we moved on to the calm time. In the middle of calm time, Zoe and Rain were talking. We then went on to our Createtober. Everyone loved our dogs! Stuart drawings made us cry, not in a good way. We started up with our notes, and Lena and Bernadette were texting. We turned around, and we saw Lena being funny! We started to talk about the song and the poem. There was not much to talk about. Then, it was time for the week 9 quiz, and Lena was doing weird signals to us. Zack and I crushed the test because were super smart. Henry came to our door and Briella waved at him in a sweet way. Lena and Bernadette kept talking to each other. Everybody was doing a good job being quiet and reading their Outsiders books except Aiden. We walked down to the quad and Jason dropped his book over the air. Zoe was sitting away from Rain and Katrina. Everyone was reading, and it was so peaceful. That was it for the day. Thank you for listening to our cute blog.

We started our day of with the creatober and I started drawing a starfish but it didn't look right, but at least I tried my best. A little while later we started reading a poem called "The Quiet World" and Lena and Bernadette were texting each other on their phones, and they got caught which was kind of funny because they thought they were slick. Then, about 30 seconds later Lena got her third pouch which is crazy, and she took it as a flex and Zack yelled out, "That's not a flex bro".

A little while later Ms. Nakada asked the class what chapter we were on and most of the class said one so she made us read for the rest of the period.

HW finish The Outsiders by Monday!

I walked into class and Aiden said before I could get in class " how do you feel about being picked for the blog and I responded with leave me alone. Then, Bernn (sorry I don't know how to spell her name but most of the time I just call her the pretty girl that sits in front of me in Mr. Kamm class ) but started to read her blog. After she was done, Ms. Nakada asked who has not did the blog yet and Aiden and Zack thought it would be so funny to say I didn't do it, but little did they know I don't mind writing the blog.

Anyways, after we read her blog, Ms. Nakada put some corrections. We came across a point talking about vlada and I heard some comments about her, because she had a mouse. While I was writing this blog, Lucas dropped something and had me pick it up. He also asked me for candy after all that we finally moved on to creatober. We had about five minutes to finish and then we hoped right into our next lesson which was looking at the list of books that are banned while Ms. Nakada was talking leana was talking to Lucas and on her computer (sorry, Lena). Now we are listening to some rock music. The song was about the FBI raid on a Native American. Then, Ms. Nakada told Nyla to look at the video, and she also had to tell the class to listen to the video. I also noticed Zack decided to do his work today. Then, the bell rang, and that was it for today's blog byeeeeee

I walked into class and I sat down. Evan was saying really weird things, so I told him to be quiet, but he didn't listen. Then, we wrote down the agenda in the binder reminders. After that, Alexandra went up and read her blog. Then, she picked me for the blog. I went up and sat down at the desk. Ms. Nakada then told us to start doing our Createober things, and everyone started drawing. Stuart, Jackson, Sandra, Rain and Zack showed their drawings. Sandra's drawing was really tuff. Ms. Nakada got mad at Zack because his dog kinda looked like a penis. Then, I saw Vlada walking by, and she looked at me really weird. After, that, we started the week 9 Grammar, Elements of Plot. Then, we did the quote which was about banned books, and why it's bad to do. Then, I told Rain and Sandra that they were cuties, because they're cuties. Ms. Nakada handed out some papers that were about the books that are banned in America. Then, we read The Outsiders and it was cool. Then the bell rang and we left

I walked into class, sat down in my seat, and began to write the agenda down. Meanwhile, Ms. Nakada began to play the take a minute. Then, Noely began to read her blog. Once, she was done, she chose me to do my First Blog. As I went to sit down I then heard Stuart call me by ,"Girl doing her blog" I turned back and he asked me what my name was because he forgot. After, we were told to do our createober for day 3. Ms. Nakada asked if anyone wanted to show their papers, I see Zack, Lucas, Jason, Joseph, and Stuart go up. Before, Ms. Nakada had called up people to show their papers, Lucas came up to me and started to sing his song about himself

After, we all began to take our English notebooks out. Lucas wanted to be included in the blog, He started to tell me to write, "Lucas is very cool and very awesome." He told me after not to write the fact that he said that about himself. Zack started to complain about someone touching him, and Ms. Nakada started telling him to move. We started to review our notes for the week 8 quiz. Once we all finished, we began to write more on the School Trip page. I heard Ms. Nakada call out Zack for not giving Lucas any space and then said Lucas kept touching him.

After, we were told to do our week 8 quiz, and then, Johnny asked Ms. Nakada if he could borrow a computer, because he was being very irresponsible and didn't charge his chromebook. He told me to not write to him in the blog, but I will. Since, Johnny didn't charge his chromebook, he had to sit behind me, and he began to kick my chair. This is what happened today, Bye guys.

School Trip

HW: Read The Outsiders p. 1-84 by Monday

We started off class by watching the take a minute video. After that, Briella read her blog and chose me. I wasn't surprised, because she had already told me she was going to pick me. Then, we worked on our createober activities for the first time. Rachel, Spirit, Lucas, Jason, and Valentina showed their createober's to the class. We glued a poem into our notebooks. Ms. Nakada started to talk about the poem; it was about how a girl was wounded mentally and how she changed because of it. Ms. Nakada gave us time to finish our A.C.E for the people who didn't finish. That was it for today's blog.
